A mid-stiff binding that's fairly firm without being oppressive, with some forgiveness left in it. It suits riders who want quick entry but want it to feel like an ordinary two-strap while they're riding. FASE was already a popular system in its first year. Pairs with boards 5–8/10 flex, and best at 6–7/10.

The adjustment range is the best among Jones bindings, but it's still not enough. Unlike other Jones models, gas pedal adjustment is now possible, which is the improvement. The highback doesn't rotate, but it twists a bit more than the standard Mercury. It weighs about 1 kg each, on the light side of medium. Since you centre the boot by moving the binding on the board rather than within the binding, it isn't a complete solution.
