A binding worth recommending across a range of riding styles and boards. The whole baseplate is high-density rubber and the only actual contact is the mini disc, so the board flexes naturally from tip to tail. A standout feature is that you can flip the ankle strap to choose between prioritising response or freedom. At speed the rubber base handles impact; at low speed the EVA footbed takes over.

Good

  • A fully rubber baseplate plus a mini disc lets the board flex naturally
  • Flipping the ankle strap switches between response and freedom
  • Impact absorption is split between the rubber base at speed and the EVA footbed at low speed
  • Smooth, medium-to-slightly-quick response that handles most boards
  • Your ankles don't ache even on rough snow

Not so good

  • On the heavy side of normal (about 1 kg each)
