The flex sits right on the line between medium and medium-stiff, with response matched to it, so it drives almost any board without overpowering it. Even an E-width foot didn't feel tight on day one, and the early pressure on the instep and Achilles went away within a few days. The TLS lacing makes getting in and out very fast with no heel lift, and if the speed lace snaps you can replace it with a normal lace.
