A freeride boot for anyone who wants an 8–10/10 stiff boot but can't stretch to that price bracket. It's on the stiff side without being extremely stiff. The reviewer could carve deeper and harder than in their reference boot, but it was worse for short, sharp turns at low speed. Heel hold is excellent, with almost no lift. Genuinely medium width, true to size.

Traditional lacing plus an ankle BOA gives this boot an enormous adjustment range. It's a particularly good combination if you have heel-hold problems but don't want to give up adjustability. A rigid plastic spine, a rubbery tongue that resists collapsing, and a bit of ankle articulation together keep it close to its original flex even after 40+ days. The toe box is on the wide side.
