20/21 season review
This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
An all-mountain boot just a touch stiffer than average (6.5–7/10). It's useful for carving without being a tank at low speed, and it suits people who struggle with heel lift in particular.
The fit is good straight out of the box, and the ankle is somewhat snug without being uncomfortable. Exactly medium width, true to size.

What the review liked

- ✓Handles heel lift well
- ✓Good fit straight out of the box
- ✓Exactly medium width with plenty of toe room
- ✓True to size
What the review found lacking
- —The ankle is somewhat snug at first
- —Not enough if you want a genuinely stiff boot
26/27 · 25/26 · 24/25 season review
At around 900 g it's light, which makes hiking easier and keeps your feet from feeling heavy on the lift. It was substantially reworked for 26/27: a TPU skin spreading from near the flex point into the spine and heel improves shape retention, and the toe material switched to a hybrid rubber.
The new shell and liner move closer to the Deadbolt, and an E-width foot fit straight out of the box with no heat moulding.

What the review liked
- ✓Light at around 900 g, so it's comfortable for hiking and long days
- ✓Added TPU skin improves shape retention (a 26/27 change)
- ✓The new shell and liner have enough room that E widths fit without heat moulding
- ✓True to size, so no need to go up or down
What the review found lacking
- —The shape-retention reinforcement is expected to add a few ounces
