The Mermaid 151 provides a fun ride in both carving and powder through the snowsurf collection's characteristic directional hybrid camber and tapered design. Edge response is fast and it handles excellently, but chatter appearing at speed and in rough snow is a shame. It's a board worth recommending to intermediate and above riders who want a distinctive feel different from everyday all-mountain riding.

An Excel Camber construction: camber starts near the back foot and runs to the tail, a flat section sits ahead of the front foot, and a touch of reverse camber (rocker) is applied at the nose tip — a directional hybrid camber profile.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
A medium to upper-medium stiffness that, in actual riding, is easy to handle with excellent manoeuvrability. It looks stiff but has flex characteristics combining responsiveness and agility.
Where it shines
Who it suits
Strongly directional and highly sensitive to setup, it takes some experience with things like binding angles, suiting intermediates and up. Chatter can appear at speed, so it may be somewhat difficult for beginners.
