The Rome Mechanic is a soft-flex entry-level board adopting a Contact Rocker profile, providing outstanding ease and fun in park-entry riding such as rails, jibbing and buttering. It shows clear limits in high-speed stability and advanced techniques such as Eurocarves, and impact absorption on jump landings is also lacking. It's a board to recommend strongly for learning fundamentals to beginner and lower-intermediate riders encountering the park for the first time.

Rome's Contact Rocker camber profile: large rocker sections outside the inserts at the nose and tail, flat through the middle between the feet. The rocker eases turn entry and exit and provides catch-free behaviour, while the flat section makes up for precision, pop and drive.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
Soft overall, with the centre between the feet the most flexible. The nose and tail are slightly reinforced with Hot Rods, but the flex stays soft and forgiving overall. Foot steering is very easy, and the board wraps naturally on rails and jibs.

Soft throughout with a strongly catch-free character, it's optimised for beginners and beginner-to-intermediate park riders. Clear limits in high-speed stability and advanced techniques such as Euro carving make it unsuitable for advanced riders.
