22/23 season review
This review does not directly cover the 26/27 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
The Nidecker Mosquito is the shortest and most aggressive board in the Snowsurf quiver series, specialised for tight carving and powder slashes on piste and in the backcountry. A specialist board for experts combining hybrid setback camber, an ultra-fast base and craftsman-level handcrafted finishing, it can't be expected to deliver freestyle or switch performance, but it can be the ultimate choice for skilled riders pursuing the art of the turn to the extreme.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Hybrid camber
A directional hybrid construction: rocker beyond the front inserts provides powder float, while strongly setback camber runs from the middle to the tail. Combined with a double pin tail, it's designed around back-foot steering.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A hard flex, with most spec-sheet items (flex, carving, speed and so on) sitting in the 9–10 range. A high-stiffness design for quick response and powerful carving.

Rider levels suggested in the review
Advanced
A snowsurf quiver series board specialised for carving and backcountry, aimed at experts; switch and freestyle performance are low and the design is highly specialised, so it targets experienced riders.
What the review liked
- ✓An aggressive sidecut and shape optimised for tight carving, slashes and tree runs
- ✓Nidecker's lightest core (poplar plus beechwood) and the N9000, one of the fastest bases on the market
- ✓The Nedactive sandwich construction gives it excellent edge feel, handcrafted by artisans with outstanding finish quality
- ✓A hybrid setback camber design providing powder float and strong camber at once
What the review found lacking
- —Very low switch riding performance makes it unsuitable for tricks and freestyle
- —Limited accessibility due to a restricted lineup of just two sizes (148 and 152cm) and a high price point
