The Nitro Slash is an all-mountain/powder-specialised deck combining a volume-shifted design with true camber, letting you enjoy powder float and the manoeuvrability characteristic of a short board at once. A wide waist makes carving performance excellent too, and it brings joy to exploratory riding in trees and off side hits. That said, it's strongly recommended to intermediate-and-above riders who enjoy creative surf-style riding rather than high-speed charging.
Base shape (camber)
Camber
A true camber board adopting full positive camber between the contact points, providing an energetic and powerful ride feel.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
A mid flex with a directional character: the tail is comparatively stable and stiff while the nose is softer and more playful. The nose lifts readily over the snow in powder, and butter tricks are possible too.
Where it shines
Who it suits
A mid-flex board with ample performance without being aggressive, suiting intermediates and up who enjoy powder and carving. For beginners, the volume-shifted design and directional character may be somewhat difficult.
Good
- ✓The volume-shifted design provides excellent powder float and manoeuvrability at once even in small sizes
- ✓A wide waist (26cm at the 151) enables aggressive edge angles in carves with no worry about heel or toe drag
- ✓A sintered base delivers fast, durable glide performance
- ✓Fast, agile response in trees, off side hits and in highly variable snow
Not so good
- —The tight sidecut radius makes limits clearly felt in high-speed carving
- —The directional design and volume-shifted character make it unsuitable for park/freestyle riding
