The Nidecker Blade is a dedicated carving board based on traditional camber, combining stiffness and damping to be optimised for high-speed carving. A softer flex than the Plus version has made it more approachable, and excellent edge grip and tail power make it an 'everyman power carver' suited to intermediate and advanced carvers.
Base shape (camber)
Camber
A traditional camber profile maintaining an arched camber between the contact points, with a slight flat section at the nose tip that improves grip.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
Stiff overall with a consistent flex from nose to tail. A key flex point inside the rear insert pack lets you draw power from the tail. It's somewhat softer than the Plus version, making it more approachable.
Where it shines
Who it suits
More accessible than the Plus version with easier ankle steering, but as a stiff, traditional-camber-based carving board it takes a degree of carving technique. It isn't suited to beginners.
