The Roxy Dawn 146 is a beginner-only deck with Easy Rise rocker and a soft flex, making turn initiation very easy and suiting the learning of basic freestyle moves. Chatter and instability appear at speed and on bumpy terrain, and insufficient jump pop makes it unsuitable for intermediate and above riders. It's a board to recommend to beginners aiming to perfect skidded turns and explore basic terrain.

An Easy Rise rocker profile with the middle sagging downward. It has little camber, so it's easy for beginners to handle, but high-speed stability and pop on jumps are on the weak side.

Roxy's official target is beginners too, and it suits beginner uses such as soft, easy turn initiation, practising skidded turns and getting started in trees and bumps. On intermediate terrain chatter and instability appear, with limits at speed and on jumps.
