20/21 season review
This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
The Moss Snow Surfer is a board that delivers outstanding surf feel and carving performance in powder and spring snow through a narrow, surfy design distinctive to Japan. It isn't suited to tail butters, but it shows strong potential in straight-lining and slash carving, making it a characterful board especially worth recommending to intermediate and advanced riders who enjoy powder and all-mountain.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Hybrid camber
A directional hybrid camber profile that maintains camber toward the tail with early rise applied at the nose. A long nose is its distinguishing feature.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A middle flex, neither rigid nor too soft. It strikes an appropriate balance — not excessively stiff, yet not floppy.

Tail butters are difficult and its characteristically narrow stance and surfy character call for a degree of experience. Attempting tail butters is demanding, so handling it takes skill.
What the review liked
- ✓A surfy, slashy ride feel delivers outstanding performance in powder and spring-season snow
- ✓A narrow stance and long nose enable distinctive Japanese surf-style carving
- ✓It provides stable performance even when straight-lining at speed
- ✓It copes relatively stably even in rough icy or crusty snow conditions
What the review found lacking
- —Tail butters are very difficult with a high risk of falling, and aren't officially recommended either
- —A very narrow stance width of up to 23 inches limits it for riders with big feet or a preference for a wide stance
