The Rossignol Evader is a beginner all-mountain board with an AmpTek cam-rocker profile, and a soft flex plus long rocker sections suit beginners learning to link turns and pick up basic freestyle. However, stability, power and pop are all lacking for intermediate and above riders, who will quickly feel its limits — it's a board focused on acquiring entry-level skills rather than carving, park or high-speed riding. It's an adequate choice for beginners moving from rentals to a first purchase, but an upgrade should be considered as skills grow.

Hybrid rocker
Rossignol's AmpTek all-mountain camber profile, made up of 40% nose rocker + 30% camber underfoot + 30% tail rocker. Rocker takes the larger share, and the camber section is relatively short and centred — a cam-rocker hybrid layout.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
A soft flex — not a complete noodle, but clearly softer than middle. There's plenty of play at the nose and tail, and torsional flex is very supple so ankle steering is easy. The section between the insert packs is the stiffest part.

A beginner's board, suiting beginners upgrading from a rental. Intermediate and above riders will hit its limits quickly through a lack of flex and stability and will need to upgrade.
