Expert reviews 1
The Salomon Huck Knife Pro is a high-performance board for intermediate to advanced riders who enjoy park and jumps, where a strong camber-based hybrid design, carbon stringers and triax blended glass provide explosive pop and stability. The Popster Booster core lets you enjoy a smooth ride feel and stiff-board power at once, and while it's a park-specialist board it can also be used comfortably for all-mountain purposes. That said, it isn't suitable for powder or backcountry settings.
Base shape (camber)
Hybrid camber
A hybrid camber design maintaining strong camber at the centre with a touch of rocker blended at the nose and tail tips. It maximises centre power and responsiveness while providing a catch-free feel at the tips and smooth edge-to-edge transitions.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
The Popster Booster core makes it feel soft on the surface, but in practice it provides a stiff board's pop, power and stability. Triax mixed glass and carbon stringers put the overall flex at a medium-stiff level.
Where it shines
Who it suits
Strong camber, carbon stringers and a mixed glass construction demand high responsiveness and power, so it suits intermediates and up. Beginners may find it hard to handle.
Good
- ✓Explosive pop and power from carbon stringers and blended (triax) glass
- ✓The Popster Booster core provides a smooth ride feel and stiff stability at once
- ✓Royal rubber pads and a freestyle bevel improve durability and edge grip
- ✓On landing, carbon stringers assist stability and prevent bucking fore and aft
Not so good
- —It isn't optimised for backcountry terrain such as powder and tree runs
- —Strong camber and high responsiveness can be demanding for beginners
