A later generation gave it a slightly softer flex and different carbon mapping. The three contact points of the triple camber often make it feel a little hooky, it does not track super well, and the camber points are harder to access. That said, once you get used to it, it is forgiving and easy to ride with excellent grip — a lot of people who just like a board to cruise with really enjoy it.

The Never Summer Proto T3 FR is an all-mountain freeride board leading with forgiveness and edge hold rather than aggression. Ice grip is particularly strong and it handles variable snow without fuss. In exchange, pop and carving spring feel are weak, so it suits riders who prioritise stability and control.

Never Summer's Fusion Triple Camber — a multi-stage construction: small camber between the inserts, rocker at the binding points, camber again, then mellow rocker just before the nose and tail. It's a complex profile aimed at forgiveness and grip at once.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
A medium-stiff flex at 7 out of 10. It's quite stiff between the feet, with most of the flex coming from the tip and tail.

Who it suits
Suited to advanced and expert riders, and intermediates can work up to it with practice. There's an initial hooky edge feel, so an adaptation period is needed.
