21/22 season review
This review does not directly cover the 26/27 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
The Nitro Drop 149 is an all-mountain directional deck covering varied terrain including groomers, steeps, powder and trees, based on a Cam Out profile (hybrid camber) and a 6/10 medium flex. Power Pods and positive camber deliver stable edge hold even in demanding snow such as ice, making it a versatile board usable broadly from intermediates to advanced riders.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Hybrid camber
Nitro's 'Cam Out' profile: traditional camber underfoot (between the bindings) with early rise applied at the nose and tail tips. Combined with a directional shape, it provides stability and powder float at once.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A medium flex at 6 out of 10, providing ample stability and damping while retaining enough flexibility for small- to medium-radius turns. It handles both aggressive riding and relaxed cruising.

What the review liked
- ✓The combination of Power Pods (sidecut disruption) and positive camber delivers excellent edge hold on ice and hard snow
- ✓It delivers consistent performance across varied snow including ice, spring slush, groomers and powder
- ✓A directional shape with 20mm of setback secures powder float, and switch riding is handled to a degree
- ✓A sintered base maintains fast gliding speed
- ✓It balances agility and stability across varied terrain such as trees, moguls and steeps
What the review found lacking
- —Not being a dedicated powder board, performance has limits in deep powder
- —Not suitable for full freestyle/park riding, and switch riding performance is limited
