An extremely soft park and jib twin that's outstandingly playful in buttering and sliding tricks. On jumps, at speed and in power carves, though, it's soft enough that the board simply folds — its limits are clear. It's ideal for lightweight jib specialists, but all-round park riders and intermediate-and-above riders should size up or pick a different board.
Base shape (camber)
Camber
A hybrid camber based on low camber (very mellow traditional camber) with 3BT (Three Base Technology) and Sidekick applied, so the contact points lift slightly in a spoon shape. It loads up smoothly, and camber rebound is very mild.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
An extremely soft flex with almost no rebound — the tip and tail practically fold. It's easy for buttering and jibbing, but folds badly on jumps, at speed and during power carving. After the redesign it's far softer than the previous version.
Where it shines
Who it suits
Its extremely soft flex actually makes it hard for experienced riders to control and can be dangerous on jumps or at speed. A board specialised for lighter jib specialists — it suits 'light jib specialist' riders more than the usual beginner/intermediate/advanced categories.
Good
- ✓The extremely soft flex makes buttering (nose and tail presses) very easy and natural
- ✓3BT raises the contact points so you can slide smoothly on jibs without catching an edge
- ✓The sidecut works well for short, tight carves and mellow carves inside the park
- ✓A twin shape optimised for light riders and playful jib styles
Not so good
- —The board doesn't load up on jump transitions and simply folds, which is very dangerous
- —It deflects easily and is hard to control at speed and on variable snow
- —Power carving is impossible — drive it hard and it skids with no edge grip
- —Almost no rebound means weak pop and no drive coming off jibs
- —Even the 154 is too soft, so sizing up is needed and picking the right size is tricky
