Expert reviews 1
A surfboard-inspired powder and carving deck that delivers outstanding surf feel and buttering fun through its C2 hybrid camber profile. It's optimised for intermediate and advanced riders who enjoy ground-hugging surf-style riding rather than airs and tricks, a surf-inspired board that performs especially well in powder and carving.
Base shape (camber)
Hybrid rocker
Lib Tech's C2 directional camber profile: a hybrid construction made up of a rocker section at the nose, a long camber section under the front foot, a long reverse camber section between the feet, a tight camber section under the back foot and a touch of rocker at the tail.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
Slightly softer than medium overall, with a directional flex: the nose is designed softer and longer than the tail. The tail is stiffer thanks to a compact, aggressive camber zone, and torsional foot steering comes easily.
Where it shines
Who it suits
It calls for a distinctive surf-style riding feel, directional flex and back-foot-centred weight transfer, so it suits intermediates and up rather than beginners, optimised for riders with powder and carving experience.
Good
- ✓Delivers flowing, natural carving and surf feel like a surfboard
- ✓Shows excellent float and stability in powder
- ✓Buttering, especially nose butters, is very easy and intuitive
- ✓Excellent vibration damping allows stable riding without chatter even on rough snow
- ✓Shows excellent manoeuvrability on tight lines such as narrow tree runs
Not so good
- —The long rocker section between the feet makes ollie pop and air performance relatively weak
- —It can feel bouncy at high speed and on rough snow
- —Only two sizes, 155 and 160, limit the options
