The Nidecker Mellow 2025 is a freeride/all-mountain-specialised deck based on a directional outline and a CamRock profile, performing excellently in carving and powder. The energy and pop produced by strong camber and a carbon construction provide an exciting ride experience for experienced riders, but it's limited for park tricks and butters. It's a board to recommend strongly to intermediate-and-above freeride-oriented riders who enjoy exploring the resort, groomer carving and getting into backcountry.

Nidecker's 'Surfy CamRock' profile — a camber-dominant construction where camber continues from outside the front foot to the tail, with reverse camber (rocker) applied at the nose, making it a hybrid layout favourable for powder and freeride.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
A flex on the stiffer side of medium, with precise, responsive torsional flex and a strong freeride bent. It doesn't bend readily for butters or flat tricks, so those can feel somewhat difficult.

Who it suits
A large 50mm setback and taper, a precise, aggressive freeride bent and the responsiveness of high camber suit more experienced riders; balancing in butters and flat tricks is demanding, so it isn't recommended for beginners and intermediates.
Good
- ✓Outstanding carving performance: a 26.4cm waist width, 7.6m sidecut and strong camber combine to let you make high-energy, springy turns
- ✓Powder- and freeride-specialised design: 50mm setback, 10mm taper and a wide nose give it excellent float and directionality in soft snow
- ✓Pop Carbon and an absorbing topsheet provide strong snap and vibration damping at once, realising stable damping for all-mountain riding
- ✓Excellent high-speed stability and rough-snow capability allow confident riding in varied conditions
Not so good
- —Flex-dependent tricks such as butters and tail/nose presses are difficult, and a short tail shifts the balance point forward, constraining park riding
- —Its strongly directional design makes switch riding and jib tricks feel awkward, and park riding is closer to a novelty
