The Nidecker Sensor is a board for intermediate to advanced riders who enjoy park and freestyle riding, based on a camber-to-rocker hybrid shape and a soft flex. The combination of BAX Plus fibreglass and Pop Carbon stringers provides high pop and responsiveness despite being a soft board, and Sidekick technology enables smooth, catch-free riding. It's a park-specific board, but it holds some all-mountain utility too, giving it versatility that makes it worth considering as a first board.
Base shape (camber)
Hybrid camber
Camber-dominant through the middle, transitioning into rocker before the contact points at the nose and tail — a camber-to-rocker profile. It provides a smooth rolling feel during edge changes, and 3D moulding (Sidekick) at the tips strengthens the catch-free feel.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
A medium-soft flex providing a soft, predictable ride feel. BAX Plus fibreglass and pop carbon stringers running tip to tail give it ample pop, power and spring despite the soft flex.
Where it shines
Who it suits
It suits intermediates looking to improve their park skills and advanced riders who enjoy rail-focused riding. A soft flex makes it easy for intermediates to handle while providing pop and power at the level of a high-end park board. Beginners aren't directly mentioned; it's positioned as a park/freestyle board.
Good
- ✓Combining camber-based pop and power with rocker elements provides catch-free, smooth edge transitions
- ✓Pop Carbon stringers and BAX Plus fibreglass realise high pop and stability for the soft flex
- ✓Sidekick (3D moulding) technology makes edge-to-edge transitions very smooth and prevents snow grabbing the edge when flat
- ✓Park-specific but with versatility that allows some all-mountain use
Not so good
- —Not suitable for aggressive riding outside the park such as tree riding or high-speed carving
- —The N7000 extruded base has speed and durability, but performance limits exist compared with a sintered base
