23/24 season review
This review does not directly cover the 26/27 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
An all-mountain snowsurf board built on flat camber. Its core is that the nose doesn't dive in powder and you can flow through three-dimensional terrain without constantly loading the back foot, and it covers everything from groomers to natural wall banks and backcountry.
If you want pop and high-speed hardpack stability, a camber-based board is better.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Flat
Gentemstick's FLAT CAMBER — a classic base design taken from late-1980s ski technology. It eliminates nose dive in powder and is designed so you can flow freely through 3D terrain without constantly loading the back foot.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
14 on Gentemstick's own 20-step scale (about 7 converted to a 10-point scale). Tuning the tail flex softer raises turn response and grip in 3D terrain and produces a more delicate suppleness.

Rider levels suggested in the review
Intermediate · Advanced
Aimed at intermediate to advanced riders. It only performs when you understand and use flat camber's characteristic feel and a snowsurf riding style.
What the review liked
- ✓It provides a turn feel with no edge catch at all on smooth terrain
- ✓Characterised by a near-weightless turn feel and resistance-free deep turn finishes
- ✓It maintains slip-free grip and edge hold
- ✓Flat camber means no nose dive in powder and less back-foot loading
What the review found lacking
- —Flat camber gives it weaker pop and spring than true camber
- —Its supple 14/20 flex limits absolute stability on hardpack at speed
- —Its character doesn't suit use as a dedicated groomer machine or park board
