16/17 season review
This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
A carving-specialised directional board carrying VSR (variable sidecut radius) technology that delivers outstanding carving performance even with a soft-boot setup. Its setback stance and long nose make it respectable in powder too, but it isn't suited to switch riding or freestyle.
It comes strongly recommended to intermediate and above riders who put carving first.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Directional camber
A directional board with VSR (Variable Sidecut Radius) technology: the sidecut starts at a 9m radius at the nose and widens gradually to 11m toward the tail. A free-carving-focused design with a directional shape and a setback stance.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
No explicit flex figure is given, but as part of the VSR board family used by alpine and boardercross racers, it has a comparatively stiff, carving-specialised flex.

Intermediate · Advanced
It delivers excellent carving performance even in a soft-boot setup, but the VSR and directional shape make switch riding difficult and limit freestyle elements, so it suits intermediates and up focused on carving.
What the review liked
- ✓VSR (variable sidecut radius) lets you adjust turn size flexibly, with excellent carving performance
- ✓It produces top-level carve turns even with a soft-boot setup
- ✓The setback stance and long nose give it better powder performance than comparable twin boards
- ✓The Carbonium topsheet is highly durable and scratch-resistant
- ✓Donek's custom options let you change specs to suit you — height, boot size, stance angles and more
What the review found lacking
- —VSR and the directional shape make it unsuitable for switch riding
- —Not suited to freestyle, park or trick use
- —The wide 29.5 cm waist may be excessively wide for riders with smaller boots
