The Nitro Basher is a powder freestyle twin adopting a Flat-Out Camber profile (flat plus nose and tail rocker), optimised for powder float and switch riding. It shows far higher stability and carving performance than expected, and high versatility that reaches beyond powder-only into all-mountain and park is its strength. That said, it has limits in short, fast groomer carving and extreme high-speed riding, so it isn't suitable for riders who mainly enjoy those.
Base shape (camber)
Hybrid rocker
Nitro's 'Flatout' camber profile is flat through the insert section with rocker at the nose and tail. The rocker eases powder float and turn entry and exit, while the flat section provides pop, stability and drive.
StiffnessHigher means stiffer
A middle-of-the-road flex overall. The nose and tail are slightly stiffer than the centre, and torsional flex is at a similar medium level. There's a touch of snap in the tail, so it isn't an organic, slow flex.
Where it shines
Who it suits
Aimed at intermediate and above riders, it suits those who want to enjoy switch riding and freestyle in powder. For beginners, the single 158 size and above-medium flex may be somewhat demanding.

- ✓It delivers excellent float and buttering performance in powder, and the wide nose/tail make switch riding easy too
- ✓Edge retention is excellent across varied snow such as groomers and chunky surfaces, providing higher stability than expected
- ✓Despite a flat/rocker build, edge hold is excellent, delivering better-than-expected performance in medium and large carves
- ✓It has high versatility that goes beyond a powder-only board to handle all-mountain and park
Not so good
- —Response is slow with noticeable lag in short, fast groomer carves, making it unsuitable for agile carving
- —Stability degrades at extreme speed and a speed limit exists
