#flex

A soft, forgiving women's boot for beginners and riders just getting into the park. It flexes and twists freely, which makes it one of the better first boots — but it won't be enough for someone who's been riding park a while.

For the price the impact absorption is better than expected and you keep good board feel. The catch is the low volume overall, so it won't suit wider feet.

What the review liked

  • ✓Soft and forgiving, so presses and twists come easily — a good first boot
  • ✓Decent impact absorption for how light it is
  • ✓Absorbs impact without killing board feel
  • ✓Reasonably priced

What the review found lacking

  • —Not for wider feet — the toe box in particular is narrow
  • —Low volume overall, so the instep and ankle feel tight and the pressure builds as you ride
  • —Runs short
  • —Not enough support for an experienced park rider
