24/25 · 23/24 · 22/23 · 21/22 · 20/21 season review
This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
Of the boots that aren't dedicated splitboard boots, this one leans back the furthest — so it's comfortable hiking uphill while still being plenty for resort riding. You get a long stride and it flexes forward well on steep climbs.
The downsides: lateral support is weak, which hurts when you're side-hilling, and the neoprene up top that allows all that rearward flex takes a little off the response.

What the review liked
- ✓Leans back further than any non-splitboard boot, which makes hiking easy
- ✓Long stride, and it flexes forward well on steep climbs
- ✓Barely needs breaking in — comfortable from day one
- ✓No pressure on the sides even at E width
- ✓Balanced toward board feel rather than impact absorption
What the review found lacking
- —Weak lateral support, which is a problem when side-hilling
- —The neoprene up top makes it slower to respond than the Ion
- —Not enough if you want your ankle wrapped and held
