#flex

The women's Yeasayer is a multi-purpose board for women riders across a broad range of levels, combining a soft flex with triaxial glass and a Squeeze Box Low core. Two camber options, Pure Pop and Flying V, let you choose to match your riding style, and it's useful across park and all-mountain riding.

Covering everything from beginners to advanced riders is why it's a core model in Burton's women's line.

A closer look

These descriptions and scores are linked to this review. They may differ from manufacturer specifications.

Board profile

The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.

Hybrid camber

Offered in two versions: Pure Pop (camber-flat) and Flying V (rocker-camber-rocker). Pure Pop keeps traditional camber between the feet with flat sections developing toward the tips, giving it a catch-free feel and a stable buttering spot. Flying V feels looser and easier.

How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.

4/10

On the soft side, but women's-specific triaxial glass provides strong rebound and edge hold entering and exiting turns. Kickback is strong for the flex, so it works for both park and carving.

Rider levels suggested in the review

New · Intermediate · Advanced

It covers a broad range from advanced beginners to advanced riders. It helps beginners progress, delivers strong performance for intermediates, and serves advanced riders as a park board or a soft, smooth-riding board.

What the review liked

  • ✓Women's-specific triaxial glass provides strong rebound and edge hold relative to the soft flex
  • ✓The Squeeze Box Low core design increases stiffness outside the bindings and improves pop and spring
  • ✓The scooped nose shape secures powder float and a catch-free feel when buttering
  • ✓Frostbite edges strengthen grip even on icy snow
  • ✓Two camber options (Pure Pop and Flying V) let you choose to match your leanings

What the review found lacking

  • —The extruded base is easy to maintain but slower with less glide than a sintered base
  • —The soft flex may show limits for high-speed all-mountain riding or dedicated carving riders
