24/25 season review
This review does not directly cover the 26/27 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
The Ogasaka XC Limited Edition is a high-stiffness carving board positioned as freestyle race with a metal layer, characterised by overwhelming underfoot stability and high-speed exhilaration at 158cm. By the nature of its shallow sidecut, a riding style that draws arcs naturally using speed and edge angle suits it well, and it can be a powerful weapon for advanced carvers.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Camber
A high-stiffness construction with metal, a traditional camber board leaning toward carving and racing. A shallow sidecut gives it high-speed stability and strong edge hold.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A very hard flex thanks to a metal layer. The platform is extremely stable, with stiffness that holds without twisting even when you load it aggressively.

Advanced
A high-stiffness board with metal inserted, requiring you to actively use speed and load; positioned as a freestyle race board, it suits advanced riders and up. Its strong flex and response make it hard for beginners and intermediates to handle.
What the review liked
- ✓Overwhelming stiffness and stability from the metal layer keep the platform from wavering even at speed
- ✓Excellent nose-centre-tail balance means the board self-corrects and continues the turn even when your position breaks down somewhat
- ✓The shallow sidecut gives it outstanding exhilaration in drawing arcs naturally while carrying speed
What the review found lacking
- —The shallow sidecut doesn't suit a riding style that forces the board to bend, and adaptation takes time
- —A hard flex and race leaning give it low utility across varied terrain such as park, freestyle and powder
