25/26 season review
The Salomon HPS Louif Paradis is a board for powder-seeking all-mountain freeride riders, with powerful carving and excellent pop in powder as its core strengths. Rockout Camber makes for predictable riding, but chatter issues on firm snow and impact transmission from its high liveliness work as drawbacks.
It's especially recommended to intermediate and above all-mountain and freeride riders with a freestyle sensibility.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Hybrid camber
Salomon's 'Rockout Camber' profile: a flattened camber section through the middle with rocker blended at the nose and tail tips. Even when base-flat, the camber stays loaded, providing pop and snap, while the tip rocker improves ease of turn entry and exit and powder float.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
The brand labels it stiff, but in practice it's only slightly above medium. There are distinct flex points at the nose and tail, and the directional flex strengthens progressively toward the tail. Torsional flex is responsive with quick rebound, and it may be somewhat stiff for jibbing.

Intermediate · Advanced
Stiffer than medium with a lively character, it's hard for beginners to handle. A directional flex, powerful carving character and all-mountain freeride bent suit intermediate and above riders, and it's designed primarily for all-mountain freeriders with a freestyle sensibility.
What the review liked
- ✓Fluid, powerful edge-to-edge transitions make carving performance excellent, handling everything from short, fast turns to deep, aggressive carves
- ✓Excellent pop and float in powder, providing stable, predictable pop even in powder park settings
- ✓During butters, the camber and rocker flex points work distinctly for good lock-in, with both nose and tail presses possible
What the review found lacking
- —When the rocker-camber transition zone hits firm snow (crust, ice), severe chatter and impact transmit through the front foot
- —Overall liveliness and insufficient vibration absorption can bring on fatigue quickly on firm or rough snow
- —Directional flex means tail butters and jibbing need relatively more force, and it's unsuitable for advanced jibbing such as down-rail tricks
