19/20 season review
This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
The 2021 Salomon Lotus is a soft-flex all-mountain board for beginners through intermediates, providing easy, forgiving riding with flat camber and a catch-free edge design. A directional twin shape gives it high versatility usable across varied terrain including park, powder and freestyle.
It's an ideal stepping stone for riders moving from a rental board to a cambered board for the first time.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Hybrid camber
A flat camber profile where the middle rises flat rather than in an arch. Beyond the contact points the edges lift in a catch-free design. It's more forgiving and easier to handle than traditional camber.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A very soft flex that tolerates mistakes and is easy to handle when starting out on rails and in the park. It also provides flexibility favourable to pressing tricks.

What the review liked
- ✓Flat camber and catch-free edges make for a forgiving design that beginners can learn on easily
- ✓The directional twin shape gives it high versatility, usable across varied terrain including all-mountain, park and powder
- ✓A reasonable price bracket gives it high accessibility
What the review found lacking
- —Adopting an extruded base means lower speed and wax absorption than a sintered base
- —The soft flex makes it unsuitable for high-speed carving or advanced-level riding
