24/25 season review
This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
The 2026 Nitro Ripper is an entry-level snowboard designed for beginners and young riders, minimising edge catching and helping fast skill acquisition through a Flat-Out Rocker profile and a twin shape. Soft Ride construction and a radial sidecut make buttering and linking turns easy, and its reasonable price point makes it highly accessible.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Hybrid rocker
A Flat Out Rocker profile: flat underfoot with Early Lift (rocker) applied at the nose and tail tips — a hybrid layout.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A very soft flex from the Soft Ride construction. Smaller sizes are even more flexible — a soft character well suited to buttering and practising tricks.

New
A forgiving flat-plus-rocker profile with little edge catch, a twin shape that makes practising switch easy, and a light Soft Ride construction — an entry-level board optimised for young riders.
What the review liked
- ✓The flat plus early-rise rocker profile means less edge catching, making it very easy for beginners to learn
- ✓The twin shape makes practising regular/switch transitions easy
- ✓Soft Ride construction is light and provides flexibility optimised for young or lighter riders
- ✓Recycled steel edges and a premium extruded base secure durability and maintenance convenience
What the review found lacking
- —The soft flex and rocker profile leave high-speed carving and hardpack edge-holding performance lacking
- —Its beginner and young-rider-specific design imposes performance limits for intermediate and above riders
