25/26 season review

YouTubeRead source

A directional board built on full camber, a freeride-oriented freestyle board that provides strong pop and stable edge hold through carbon-reinforced construction. It's optimised for advanced riders who want to enjoy big backcountry lines and park riding at once.

It's a board to strongly recommend to advanced riders wanting versatile performance.

Board profile

The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.

Directional camber

Full traditional camber is maintained from contact point to contact point, with 3D shaping applied at the nose and tail to give a little relief at the contact points. This reduces edge catch when riding flat and smooths edge transitions.

How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.

7/10

A medium-stiff flex where carbon stringers and a carbon X structure provide strong spring and pop across the whole board. Its stiffness handles both park tricks and big backcountry lines.

Rider levels suggested in the review

Advanced

Strong pop and power from its carbon build, a medium-stiff flex and a freeride-oriented design make it suitable for advanced riders.

What the review liked

  • ✓Triax fibreglass plus carbon stringers and a carbon X provide excellent pop, spring and power transmission
  • ✓An aspen-bamboo core laid at 30 degrees secures excellent edge hold and stability underfoot
  • ✓3D tip recesses and Space Glass cut swing weight and suppress chatter in icy conditions
  • ✓A wax-infused 401 base provides fast speed and high durability

What the review found lacking

  • —Advanced-rider only, so it can be hard for beginners and intermediates to handle
  • —The small 3/4-inch setback may limit float in deep powder compared with some dedicated freeride boards
