24/25 season review
This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
A board specialised for powder and tree riding, whose heel-to-toe rocker and overall soft flex enable a surfy feel and tight turns in good snow. In variable or firm snow its edge grip and power transmission fall short and the limits are clear, and its versatility is somewhat lower than comparable powder boards.
It suits riders who like the Burton brand and enjoy cruising trees, but riders wanting a wider range of conditions should consider alternatives such as the Storm Chaser or Short Stop.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Rocker
Flat from the nose to the middle, then rockered toward the nose beyond that, with a base rounded in the heel-to-toe direction as well. It includes a swallowtail, taper and spoon shaping at the nose.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A very soft flex overall, in the tail as well as the nose. It enables quick turns in tight tree riding, but reaches its limit quickly once the snow firms up or speed rises.

Intermediate
A board specialised for powder and tree riding, with limits on variable snow and at speed, suiting intermediates with powder experience. Beginners will find it short on adaptability to snow conditions, and advanced riders may find its flex and edge performance lacking.
What the review liked
- ✓Outstanding performance in tree riding in good snow, with fast, tight turns coming easily
- ✓The combination of heel-to-toe rocker, taper and swallowtail provides excellent float and a surfy feel in powder
- ✓The soft flex delivers a comfortable, intuitive feel when cruising at low speed
What the review found lacking
- —In variable snow (bumpy, firm) the heel-to-toe rocker markedly reduces edge grip
- —The overall soft flex makes performance limits clear at speed or in hard carves
- —The core milling and foam spacer construction is a gimmicky design with durability concerns
