#carving

Forest Bailey's signature park/freestyle board, whose C3 hybrid camber profile gives it a comfortable, predictable ride feel from the very first run, like a board you've had for years. It's optimised for park performance — presses, jibs and rails — and shows strength on small-to-medium jumps and all-round freestyle riding.

It best suits intermediate and above riders who enjoy park-centred playful riding rather than hard carving or high-speed stability.

Board profile

The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.

Hybrid camber

A GNU C3 camber profile: camber underfoot at its core, with slight flat sections toward the tip and tail and minor reverse camber (rocker) beyond them — a hybrid layout. It rides like a tamed camber board, providing load, pop, snap and drive while making turn entry and exit easy.

How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.

5/10

A middle-of-the-road flex. The flat sections at the nose and tail are comparatively soft, the underfoot sections stiffer, and a slight dip at the centre between the feet forms a hinge flex point. That also makes the torsional flex supple, so the board is easy to twist.

Rider levels suggested in the review

Intermediate · Advanced

A board that feels familiar from the start, but riding big lines or hard carving demands sufficient ability as a prerequisite. It isn't recommended for beginners and suits intermediate and above riders with some park skills.

What the review liked

  • ✓A predictable, consistent ride feel from the moment you unwrap it, like a broken-in board
  • ✓Clear sweet spots in the flat nose and tail sections give excellent lock-in for presses and jibs
  • ✓A supple torsional flex favours ankle steering and short, quick carves
  • ✓It handles small and medium jumps stably with consistent pop
  • ✓The board doesn't buck you off, maintaining stable control even on rough snow

What the review found lacking

  • —The mellow tip kick makes it hard to use the very ends of the nose and tail for leverage
  • —The soft tail sweet spot can wash out in high-speed, hard carves
  • —Tip chatter on rough terrain transmits strong impact up to your lower back
  • —Big-air boosting performance is average, which may not satisfy riders who want explosive pop
