25/26 season review

YouTubeRead source
#powder

A park-specialised board combining traditional camber, mixed glassing and wood inlays in pursuit of strong pop and rail performance. It comes into its own when intermediate and advanced riders spend 75% or more of their time in the park, and it shows respectable performance outside the park compared with boards in its class.

It comes strongly recommended to riders who enjoy rails, jibs and jumps rather than powder- or backcountry-focused riders.

Board profile

The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.

Camber

A traditional camber profile running from contact point to contact point, providing powerful pop and drive with strong rebound entering and exiting carves and on jumps.

How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.

7/10

The nose and tail are designed somewhat soft for pressing rails and boxes, while the centre between the bindings is stiff thanks to wood inlays and mixed glassing, providing strong pop — an upper-intermediate flex.

Terrain suggested in the review

ParkFreestyleAll-mountain

Rider levels suggested in the review

Intermediate · Advanced

Traditional camber and mixed glassing demand high rebound and power, so it isn't suited to beginners; it's optimised for intermediate to advanced riders who mainly enjoy park riding.

What the review liked

  • ✓Traditional camber plus triax/basalt mixed glassing provides strong pop and rebound
  • ✓Wood inlays in the binding area maximise landing stability and kickback under load
  • ✓The relatively soft nose and tail make rail and box pressing easy
  • ✓A high-quality sintered base gives it excellent speed and durability

What the review found lacking

  • —Limited usefulness outside the park, such as in powder and tree runs
  • —The traditional camber character can be hard for beginners to handle
