This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
It still has a lot of the first generation's personality but with a little more setback, taper and a turnier feel. It does not feel heavy for this much surface area.
Sizing up is too much board unless you are in deep, semi-light powder, so the shorter size is usually the better call.

Directional camber
A tapered directional camber. Compared with the first generation it has a little more setback and taper, and a turnier feel.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
Medium-stiff; buttering is doable with effort.

Advanced and up — an unusual short, wide shape, so sizing has to be right.
What the review liked
- ✓Keeps a lot of the first generation's personality
- ✓The taper and setback give it a turnier feel
- ✓Does not feel heavy for this much surface area
- ✓Good edge hold on hard snow
What the review found lacking
- —Sizing up is too much board unless you are in deep powder
- —Skidded turns are only moderate
25/26 season review
A powder-specialised directional rocker-camber board whose greatest strength is combining float in deep snow with high-speed carving performance. It's ideal for intermediate and advanced riders enjoying powder days and the groomers the day after, and it comes strongly recommended to all-mountain and backcountry-oriented riders rather than park or trick-focused ones.

Directional camber
Jones's directional rocker-camber profile: a large rocker section at the nose, a camber section from underfoot to the rear inserts and a small rocker section at the tail. The camber provides pop, propulsion and stability, while the nose and tail rocker handle ease of turn entry and exit and powder float.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A directional flex, stiffer than medium. The nose is comparatively soft thanks to the 3D spoon shape, making buttering easy, while from underfoot to the tail it provides a stiff, fluid flex. Torsional flex is stiff enough to require considerable force.

Intermediate · Advanced
Designed for intermediate to advanced riders; stiff torsional flex and demanding tail butters make it unsuitable for beginners.
What the review liked
- ✓Excellent float and stability in powder
- ✓Carving performance across everything from short carves to high-speed carves
- ✓The 3D spoon nose makes powder buttering easy and catch-free
- ✓High stability with a nose that doesn't waver even on rough and broken snow
- ✓All-mountain usefulness that handles both groomers and powder
What the review found lacking
- —The tail buttering zone is narrow and the 3D construction makes balance hard to find
- —Insufficient tail stability on backseat landings risks washing out
- —Weak ollie pop off the tail, making it unsuitable for trick-oriented riding
- —The stiff torsional flex means twisting movements take a lot of force
