24/25 season review
This review does not directly cover the 26/27 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
The Nitro Pantera is an all-mountain carving board specialised for high-speed carving and powerful riding on the basis of traditional camber and extreme stiffness. It provides unshakeable stability and intense edge grip even on rough snow, but handling it properly demands a high level of fitness and technique.
It can be the ultimate choice for advanced riders who put speed and power first.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Camber
Nitro's True Camber forms a traditional camber arc from contact point to contact point, and its very high camber height provides powerful drive and responsiveness.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
A plank-like, very stiff flex: the nose is slightly soft and it stiffens progressively toward the tail. Torsional flex is minimal, giving high responsiveness, and loading the board takes considerable force.

Advanced
Loading the board takes very high fitness and skill, and its aggressive traditional camber and stiff flex make it unsuitable for beginners and intermediates. It's a board tailored to advanced riders who enjoy high-speed carving and strong power.
What the review liked
- ✓It delivers overwhelming stability and straight-line tracking even on rough snow such as frozen moguls, chop and chatter
- ✓Powerful edge grip and high edge-to-edge transmission provide precise command of the snow, enough to leave deep trenches in carves
- ✓Optimised for high-speed riding and powerful driving, it provides a slingshot-like sensation coming out of turns
What the review found lacking
- —Loading and activating the board demands very high power and technique, making it unsuitable for most riders
- —It doesn't suit short, relaxed carving or a casual riding style, showing its worth only in hard, fast riding
- —An extremely specialised board unsuitable for multi-purpose use such as park, freestyle and powder
