25/26 season review

The Good RideRead source
#powder

A snowsurf board built on the Lost Rocket with more setback and taper. Powder float and lively turning are its strengths and it's forgiving, but you have to factor in a heavy base-maintenance burden.

Board profile

The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.

Directional camber

A directional camber with plenty of camber, plus considerable early rise just before the nose and a touch of early rise before the tail. A snowsurf shape based on the Lost Rocket with more setback and taper, its sidecut turns readily, making it strong at lively medium-radius turns.

How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.

7/10

7 out of 10. It's medium to medium-stiff between the feet with softer nose and tail. That distribution keeps it forgiving despite being on the stiff side.

Rider levels suggested in the review

Intermediate · Advanced

For intermediate to expert riders. It's a directional shape but forgiving, so accessibility isn't bad.

What the review liked

  • ✓Outstanding powder float
  • ✓Very fast turn entry with lively edge transitions
  • ✓Strong spring and pop coming out of turns
  • ✓Forgiving despite being on the stiff side

What the review found lacking

  • —The knife-cut sintered base loses wax very quickly and needs waxing almost daily
  • —It draws turn arcs rather than running fast and straight, which works against holding speed
  • —The directional design limits switch riding
