22/23 season review
This review does not directly cover the 25/26 model you are viewing. Specifications and ride feel may vary by season.
The 2024 Nitro Volta Women's Splitboard is a reasonably priced splitboard for backcountry beginners and intermediates, where a directional shape and a Flat-Out Rocker profile provide powder float and friendly riding at once. Custom skins included and a simple transition system lower the barrier to entering the backcountry.

Board profile
The profile describes the curve of the board when viewed from the side.
Hybrid rocker
A Flat Out Rocker profile: flat underfoot with early kick/lift applied at the nose and tail. It supports powder float and catch-free riding, providing friendly rather than aggressive riding characteristics.
How stiff is it?Closer to 10 means stiffer. It does not mean better performance.
An all-terrain medium flex, providing ample support on the skin track uphill while keeping a surfy, fun ride feel on the descent. It has a soft, non-aggressive character.

New · Intermediate
A non-aggressive flex, catch-free design and the predictable handling of a radial sidecut suit beginners and intermediates. It's tailored to people starting splitboarding without pressure rather than to advanced backcountry riders.
What the review liked
- ✓One of the cheapest splitboards on the market, offering high price accessibility
- ✓A directional shape and large nose improve powder float and catch-free riding performance
- ✓Power Pods provide extra grip in icy conditions and on skin-track sidehills
- ✓Custom pre-cut Koala skins are included, maximising transition convenience with no separate purchase
- ✓T7075 aluminium hooks and tip/tail locks realise ride quality close to a normal board in solid board mode
What the review found lacking
- —A medium flex and non-aggressive design can impose performance limits for advanced backcountry riders
- —The extruded base is easy to maintain but may have somewhat lower durability and glide performance than a sintered base
